We celebrate pioneer day with a visit to Bear Lake. Perhaps it started because of the family reunions previously held there many eons ago, but it has evolved or perhaps devolved into a one day marathon trip.
We packed up the kids at 5:55 in the morning and headed to highland to pick up grandpa. 2.5 hours later we arrived at Rendezvous beach (which I think is spanish for everyone in the world needs to come here and sit as close as they can. It was crowded but we staked out a rather large area and Melissa and Dawn became the personal Space monitors, informing many that they were too close or that our kids were sitting there. With the water and the launch pad we had a blast. I had a new underwater camera so we expereimented with pictures and video.

Dawn hates the water but got involved for the kids sake. |
Hannah loved the boogie board. |
My favorite picture of the trip. He wasn't feeling so well, but he loved flying that kite. |
